Mayor Sam Loads First Tires in New Shredder

Hawkins hard working Mayor, Sam Bradley, loads the first tires to be shredded on Thursday January 25, 2007. This photo was furnished to the Gazette by Foster & Sons Scrap Tire Service. It’s hard to imagine a more worthwhile way to make money than to shred old car and truck tires. Think of the mosquitos that will be eliminated. The pieces will then be burned in furnaces to reduce emissions into the air we breathe.
