Officer recovers stolen property

On January 14th, a motorcycle was stolen from 168 PR 8117 in Quitman. On January 2nd, an entire safe containing several firearms was stolen from the same location.
 

Sgt. Randal Lain Sr. from the Wood County Sheriff’s Department recovered the motorcycle and the firearms.
 

The motorcycle was found in Longview with the assistance of the Longview Police Department. The firearms had been sold to someone in White Oak. They were recovered with the assistance of the White Oak Police Department.
 

Brandon Scott Cheatum, 25, stole the items. He is currently being held in the Gregg County Jail.
