The
sheriff¢s
department
reminds
you,
with
regard
to
thefts
of
copper
wire, to
call
them at
903-763-2201
if you
see any
suspicious
activity
around
utility
poles or
anything
else
that
might
contain
copper
wire.
Feb.
17th:
Deputies
were
dispatched
to PR
8692
with
regard
to a
burglary.
The
complainant
advised
that he
had
purchased
the
property
in
November.
When he
returned
to the
property,
he
noticed
that
unknown
suspect(s)
had
entered
the
building
and
removed
several
items.
The
investigation
is
ongoing.
On the
same
date,
deputies
were
dispatched
to CR
1858
with
regard
to an
assault.
The
complainants
advised
that
they
were
assaulted
by two
suspects
from the
Sulphur
Springs
area.
The case
is under
investigation.
Also on
this
date,
deputies
were
dispatched
to CR
4430
with
regard
to a
structure
fire. On
arrival,
the
residence
was
fully
involved.
The
complainant
advised
that he
and his
family
were
asleep
when he
was
awakened,
he found
the home
full of
smoke.
He
advised
he then
woke his
wife and
son and
got
everyone
out of
the
residence
except
the
family
pet.
Feb,
16th:
Deputies
were
dispatched
to FM
312 with
regard
to a
theft of
copper.
On
arrival,
the
deputies
made
contact
with the
complainant
who
advised
that
copper
wiring
had been
removed
from a
utility
pole
near a
vacant
residence.
On the
same
date,
deputies
were
dispatched
to CR
4510
with
regard
to a
report
of
criminal
trespass.
The
complainant
advised
that the
residence
had been
vacant
for
quite
some
time and
could
not tell
if
anything
was
missing.
Also on
this
date,
deputies
were
dispatched
to CR
4510
with
regard
to a
burglary.
On
arrival,
the
complainant
advised
that his
father¢s
home had
been
broken
into.
The
complainant
advised
that he
noticed
a window
had been
broken
out and,
on
further
inspection,
he
noticed
several
items
were
missing.
The case
is under
investigation.
Feb.
14th:
Deputies
were
dispatched
to FM
1799
with
regard
to a
stolen
flatbed
trailer.
The
complainant
advised
that the
trailer
was for
sale. On
further
inspection,
it was
found
that the
trailer
in
question
had been
reported
stolen
out of
Addison.
The case
is under
investigation.
On the
same
date,
deputies
spoke to
a
complainant
be
telephone.
The
complainant
advised
of a
burglary.
The case
is under
investigation.
Also on
this
date,
deputies
were
dispatched
to Hwy
37 north
on a
report
of an
assault
that had
already
occurred.
The
complainant
advised
that she
and the
suspect
were
arguing
and the
suspect
threatened
her and
had
dragged
her by
her
hair.
Douglas
Duane
Krank
was
arrested
for
assault/family
violence.
Feb.
13th:
Deputies
met with
a
complainant
in the
lobby of
the
sheriff¢s
office
where
the
complainant
advised
that she
found a
wallet
on her
property.
The
wallet
was
placed
in Wood
County
property
for
sake-keeping
until
the
proper
owner
can be
located.
Feb.
12th:
Deputies
were
dispatched
to CR
2700
with
regard
to a
theft.
The
complainant
said
that a
suspect
vehicle
had
stopped
at her
mailbox
and
removed
mail.
On the
same
date,
deputies
were
dispatched
to FM
17. The
complainant
advised
that
suspect(s)
had
entered
her home
and
removed
several
items.
Deputies
were
speaking
to a
witness
who
advised
that he
was
aware
that the
stolen
property
was in a
shed and
who had
stolen
the
property.
On
getting
consent
to enter
the
location
of the
stolen
property,
Billy
Charles
(Chucky)
Neal was
arrested
for
burglary.
Also on
this
date,
deputies
were
dispatched
to a
disturbance
on PR
7533.
The
complainant
advised
that she
and a
suspect
were
arguing
when her
brother
came to
the
residence.
The
complainant¢s
brother
advised
her to
go
outside
for her
safety.
At this
time,
the
suspect
jumped
across
the bed
and
attacked
the
complainant¢s
brother.
Michael
J. Hren
was
arrested
for
assault
and
issued a
criminal
trespass
warning.

assault

child.
Investigators
are also
investigating
a
possible
arson
related
to a
structure
fire on
Hwy 37
south.
Investigators
recovered
some
stolen
property
in the
Quitman
area and
also
solved a
case of
injury
to an
elderly
person
and
issued a
warrant.

to a
report
of
deadly
conduct.
The
complainant
advised
that her
daughter
was
playing
at her
friend¢s
home
when a
suspect
who
resides
at the
residence
pointed
a paint
ball gun
at the
complainant¢s
daughter¢s
head.
The case
is under
investigation.
On the
same
date,
deputies
were
dispatched
to the
lobby of
the
sheriff¢s
office
and met
with a
complainant
with
regard
to a
stolen
vehicle.
The
complainant
advised
that she
was
moving
out of a
residence
on Hwy
80. When
she went
back to
the
residence,
her
vehicle
was
missing.
The case
is under
investigation.
Feb.
7th:
Deputies
were
dispatched
to
Cheyenne
at
Holiday
Village
on a
report
of a
theft of
a
license
plate.
The
complainant
advised
that
unknown
suspect(s)
removed
the
plate
from his
utility
trailer.
The case
is under
investigation.
On the
same
date,
deputies
were
dispatched
to CR
4651
with
regard
to a
structure
fire. On
arrival,
they
found
the fire
department
was
attempting
to
extinguish
the
fire.
The
blaze
was
contained
to the
master
bedroom.
The home
owner
advised
that a
fluorescent
fixture
broke
and
caused
the
fire.
Also on
this
date,
deputies
were
dispatched
to CR
1503
with
regard
to a
suspicious
person.
The
complainant
advised
that the
suspect
ran over
his yard
light
and
fence
with a
vehicle.
The
complainant
also
advised
that the
suspect
was not
at the
location
when the
deputies
arrived.
The
deputies
went to
another
location
and made
contact
with the
suspect
who
advised
that he
had hit
a pole.
The
estimated
damage
to the
victim¢s
property
is
approximately
$500.
The case
is under
investigation.
Feb.
6th:
Deputies
were
dispatched
to CR
2164
with
regard
to a
disturbance.
The
complainant
advised
that her
daughter
pushed
her
against
the wall
of her
home.
The
complainant
advised
that
this was
not the
first
time she
has been
assaulted
by her
daughter
and
requested
an
emergency
protective
order.
Misty
Wheeler
was
arrested
for
assault
by
contact/family
violence.
Feb.
5th:
Deputies
were
summoned
to the
business
office
at Holly
Lake
Ranch
with
regard
to a
firearm
that was
located
in one
of the
rental
units.
After
checking
via the
state
computer
to see
if the
firearm
was
stolen,
it
turned
out that
it was.
It had
been
stolen
approximately
eight
years
ago out
of
Louisiana.
Contact
was made
to the
Oak
Grove
Sheriff¢s
Department
and the
firearm
will be
returned
to them.
Also on
this
date,
deputies
were
dispatched
to FM
1799
with
regard
to a
theft.
The
complainant
advised
that her
neighbor
stole
her
rings.
The
complainant
had
requested
that the
suspect
return
her
property
and the
suspect
will not
return
the
property.
The case
is under
investigation.
