Stiner
found
guilty
of
aggravated
assault
On
February
18th,
following
a
two-day
trial, a
Wood
County
jury of
five
women
and
seven
men,
found
Gaylor
Stiner,
Jr.
guilty
of
aggravated
assault
with a
deadly
weapon.
Stiner,
38, was
convicted
of
brutally
beating
a man
while
holding
a knife
to his
throat.
The jury
heard
evidence
of how
the
victim
was
beaten
and left
for dead
in the
woods.
The case
was
prosecuted
by Wood
County
Criminal
District
Attorney
Jim
Wheeler.
Judge
Timothy
Boswell
of the
402nd
Judicial
District
Court
will
sentence
Stiner
on March
23rd.
On
February
19th,
Julius
Clinton
Randolph
entered
a plea
of
guilty
to
possession
of a
controlled
substance,
Penalty
Group 1,
one gram
or more
and less
than
four
grams
with
intent
to
deliver.
Randolph
was
arrested
December
7th,
2008 in
Winnsboro
for this
offense
by the
Winnsboro
Police
department.
Randolph
was
sentenced
to 10
years in
prison.
On
February
23rd,
Eric
Tyler
McQuilliams
entered
a plea
of
guilty
to
possession
of a
controlled
substance,
Penalty
Group 1,
four
grams or
more and
less
than 200
grams,
with
intent
to
deliver.
McQuilliams
was
arrested
June
11th,
2008 by
a Wood
County
Sheriff¢s
deputy.
He was
sentenced
to 14
years in
prison.
On
February
11th,
Brian
Edward
Haire
entered
a plea
of
guilty
to
robbery.
Haire
robbed
the
Subway
Restaurant
on Hwy
14 at
Holly
Lake
Ranch on
August
7th,
2008.
Judge
Boswell
will
sentence
this
defendant
on
February
25th.
