Mayor

for the
office.
Alderman
James
Green is
also
being
challenged
by Doug
Dixon
for the
Alderman-1
seat,
while
Alderman
Jackie
Rucker
is
running
unopposed
for the
Alderman-III
seat.
Sam
Bradley
is a
resident
of the
city at
190 East
Forest
Street.
He is a
farmer
who has
lived in
Hawkins
for the
past 25
years.
Bradley,
in his
first
term as
Mayor,
is 76
years
old.
Wayne
Kirkpatrick
has been
a
lifelong
resident
of
Hawkins.
He lives
at 330
Paradise
Lane. He
is
retired
from
public
education
and is
65 years
old. He
has
preveiously
served
several
terms as
Mayor of
Hawkins.
Tom
Parker
lives at
239
Oakleigh
Street.
He has
served
several
terms on
the
Hawkins
City
Council.
He has
lived in
Hawkins
for 31
years.
Now
retired,
he is a
part-time
contract
pumper.
Parker
is 68
years
old.
The
election
is
scheduled
for
Saturday
May 10.
A local
election
for
trustees
of the
Hawkins
School
District
scheduled
for May
10 has
been
cancelled
with the
withdrawal
of
Robert
Stradley
from the
race.
Dr.
Shane
Bogard
and
Wende
Haney,
current
office
holders,
are
therefore
unopposed
in the
election
and will
be
re-elected
to their
seats.
