Man
critically
wounded
in Alba
Golden
shooting
On
Sunday,
July 1st
at about
7:30
p.m.
deputies
from the
Wood
County
Sheriff’s
Department
answered
a report
of a
gunshot
wound at
468 CR
2950.
Terry
Lange,
18, was
found
inside a
pickup
truck,
bleeding
as a
result
of a
gunshot
wound.
Teddy
Graham
Jr. and
Terry
Lange
were
driving
in the
area of
FM 779
and FM
17 in
the
Alba/Golden
area
when
subjects
known as
Douglas
Wayne
McBride,
38, and
Charles
Pope
“Chip”
Weissert,
38,
fired
several
shots at
the
pickup
Graham
and
Lange
were in
then
fled the
scene.
Graham
drove to
the
residence
of his
stepmother
who is a
nurse
and the
sheriff’s
office
was
called.
Lange
was air
lifted
to East
Texas
Medical
Center
in Tyler
where he
was
listed
in
critical
condition.
Lt.
Miles
Tucker
is
investigating
the
shooting
and is
looking
for
Weissert
and
McBride.
Warrants
have
been
issued
for both
suspects
by Pct.
1
Justice
of the
Peace
Alice
Tomerlin.
