Traffic stop leads to drug seizure

 

Sgt. Randal Lain Jr. stopped a vehicle August 7th on CR 1681 for a traffic violation. The driver was identified as Acey Joe Farris, 45, and the passenger was identified as Lavernia Harris, 45. Farris did not have a valid driver’s license. Harris was found to be in possession of methamphetamine as well as dangerous drugs and marijuana. Farris was charged with possession of methamphetamine, driving while license suspended and possession of marijuana.

Both persons were taken to the Wood County Jail. The methamphetamine seized weighed approximately 12 grams.
