in Lake
Holbrook
shooting
One
person
is dead
after a
shooting
October
19th
near
Mineola.
Shortly
after
8:30
p.m. the
Wood
County
Sheriff’s
office
received
a 911
call
with
regard
to a
shooting
at 861
CR 2231
in the
Lake
Holbrook
area.
The
caller
said her
husband
had shot
a man
with a
rifle
after
the man
had come
onto the
property
threatening
the
couple.
When
deputies
arrived,
the
victim,
Stephen
Young,
was
found
lying on
the
ground
in the
front
yard of
the
residence
with a
single
gun shot
wound to
the
chest.
Paramedics
attempted
to care
flight
Young,
then
diverted
to
Quitman
where he
was
pronounced
dead by
Pct. 4
Judge
Cindy
Weems.
The
Sheriff’s
Department
interviewed
everyone
at the
scene,
however,
no
arrests
have
been
made as
of this
time.
The
investigation
is
continuing.
