The newly constructed and renovated school facilities at Hawkins Independent School District will be dedicated during ceremonies on Sunday, October 12. The ribbon cutting will be conducted promptly at 2:15 p.m. at the new facility housing the cafeteria and gymnasium.
All residents of the district and the area are invited to attend and view the significant changes that have been instituted throughout the campus as a result of a $15-million bond issue approved by voters in December 2005. The facilities had not seen any significant change for 35 years-or-so.
