It is hard to believe that this is our 198th issue since Annette and I started this newspaper back in June of 2001. So many things have happened since then (911 soon after our start) that it boggles the mind. We are so thankful to the Holly Lake and Hawkins communities for their support in not only subscribing but in many cases providing content. Thanks to everyone. W.C.
Another subject. Many of us have been working very hard to bolster the Holly Lake community by building up the Holly Lake Chamber of Commerce and its new vision of promoting HLR in the Dallas market and on certain national retirement web sites. I would suggest that each of you take a look at http://hollylakecc.com (Chamber website)
and http://topretirements.com (national retirement website where HLR is featured on their front page). Our goal with the new vision is to promote the Ranch to the vast market of people considering retirement. It is totally logical for our Chamber to do this. This is needed to offset the many homes on the Ranch that are for sale.
While you are on the Chamber site, take a look at the local Realtors who are members of our Chamber and give them consideration for your needs. W.C.
