On January 23rd, Wood County deputies were dispatched to a 911 call. The caller requested that officers respond to an area of CR 3900.
On arrival, the deputies heard what they thought to be a gunshot. While searching for the 911 caller, they located a white male who was dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The man was later identified as 39-year-old Alex Richardson. EMS was notified and later, Pct. 3 Justice of the Peace Clarence Holmes pronounced Richardson dead.
