Makes Big Meth Bust!
Wilson Crabtree, Gazette Staff
(Taken from Sgt. Eileen Stanfield's report) On the 9th of July, 2009, at about 11:12pm, I observed Clifford France III operate a motor vehicle on a public roadway in Hawkins. Knowing that the Subject did not have a valid driver's license, I stopped him in front of 317 Lynch St.
While questioning subject,I noticed a prescription bottle in the front passenger seat with the name partially rubbed off. The prescription was not his and it did not contain the medicine prescribed. It contained one clear baggie of a white powder residue believed to be Meth. Also, beside it was a small Tylenol bottle containing 6½ pills of Methadone Hydrochloride.
Also in a Bag in the trunk was 14.7 grams of Methadone Hydrochloride pills in a grinder cylinder, along with several small clear bags which are commonly used to distribute. Also in a small bag in the trunk was one clear zip-lock baggie quart-sized containing 189.5 grams and 1 Calamine lotion bottle containing 18.9 grams both a clear rock white substance that testing with a field test did prove to be Meth for a total of 208.4 grams of Meth.
Also, more small clear bags used for distribution. He had about 20 syringes, scales, small fan for drying and a lot more paraphernalia for distribution. In the back passenger
floor were materials for manufacturing Meth. One gallon Muratic Acid, one quart Muratic Acid, one gallon Coleman fuel, one container of drain out, many lithium batteries, one funnel, one fan, about more than twenty precursors, and was transporting these chemicals with the intent to manufacture and deliver a controlled substance known as Meth.
