So he thought that he would give it a try. He took three feathers, placed them on a rock for his pillow, and laid down to sleep. But he had a poor night's rest.
In the morning he awoke with a headache and exclaimed, "How is it possible for white people to sleep on feathers and enjoy it?'
What was his trouble? He had not taken enough feathers. Had he put thousands of them in a bag and used that for a pillow, he would have experienced how satisfactory it is to sleep on feathers.
So it is with many Christians. They do not enjoy giving because they do not give freely.
Speaking of giving, First United Methodist Church of Hawkins will hold its Annual Blood Drive on Saturday, July 24, 2010 from 9 AM to 1 PM. Eat before coming and bring an ID. Participants will be entered in a drawing for $50 Brookshire's gift card. Hope to see you there!
