Wood County Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards for information that leads to the arrest of a fugitive wanted in a case. When you call 903-763-CASH, your information to Crime Stoppers is confidential and you can remain anonymous.
When you give your information, you will be assigned a special reference number for your call. You can use this number at a later date to claim a reward if your information leads to an arrest. You do NOT need to give your name.
Crime Stoppers may pay a reward up to $1,000 for information on any warrant that leads to an arrest and indictment.

July 20th: Deputy Samantha Sellers was dispatched to the 200 block of CR 2840 in the Mineola area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had entered her residence by kicking a door open. The case is under investigation.
July 19th: Deputy Chris Turner was dispatched to the 200 block of PR 5387 in the Yantis area with regard to a report of assault and criminal mischief. The victim advised that he had been assaulted and that the subject(s) broke his glasses, wrist watch and the shaft of one of his golf clubs. The case is under investigation.
On the same date, Sgt. Jayson Farmer was dispatched to the lobby of the sheriff's department with regard to the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The victim advised that a 1979 CJ Series black Jeep with a grey bikini top was stolen by unknown suspect(s). The case is under investigation.
Also on this date, Deputy J.W. Williams was dispatched to CR 2460 in the Mineola area on a report of a reckless driver. On making contact with the suspect vehicle, it was parked on the side of the roadway. On making contact with a white male subject, it was found that he was unsteady on his feet. Christopher John Thornton was placed under arrest for public intoxication.
July 18th: Deputy J.W. Williams was dispatched to the 500 block of CR 2388 in the Mineola area with regard to an assault. The victim advised that he and his wife are going through a divorce and that she had assaulted him. The case is under investigation.
July 17th: Deputy J.W. Williams was dispatched to the 100 block of CR 2163 in the Quitman area with regard to a theft. The victim advised that his Sears lawn mower, valued at $892, had been stolen from his carport. The case is under investigation.
On the same date, Deputy Samantha Sellers met with a victim in the lobby of the sheriff's office with regard to the unauthorized use of his blue 1991 Chevy pickup that was loaded on a trailer for transport. The victim had a flat tire on the trailer and left the pickup on the trailer. When he returned to the trailer, his truck was gone. The case is under investigation.
Also on this date, Deputy Ballard was dispatched to the 2600 block of FM 779 in the Mineola area with regard to a structure fire. The fire scene was turned over to Fire Marshal Randy Selman.
July 16th: Deputy Zachary Soto was dispatched to the 5000 block of FM 14 with regard to a criminal trespass report. On investigation, the victim advised that he wanted a person to stay off his property. Nikki Yordy was issued a criminal trespass citation to stay off the victim's property.
On the same date, Deputy Sam Threadgill was dispatched to the 600 block of CR 3811 in the Hawkins area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had entered her locked residence and stolen a Springfield XD 40 handgun with night sights, along with a pink penny bank full of change. The case is under investigation.
July 15th: Deputy Soto spoke to a victim the regard to credit card abuse by public service. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) used her debit card to add minutes to a pre-paid telephone. The case is under investigation.

During the period there were 84 males and nine females at the Wood County Jail for an overall total of 93. There were 51 bookings and 38 releases.
July 12th: Deputy Robbie Holland was dispatched to the 3000 block of CR 3420 with regard to a burglary and a theft of copper. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen several extension cords, a blue air hose, and the copper tubing to a air conditioning unit. The location is a new home construction site. The case is under investigation.
July 9th: Deputy Sam Threadgill was dispatched to the 6400 block of FM 779 in the Golden area with regard to a report of criminal mischief. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had broken the driver's side rear window of his 1996 red Dodge 1500. The case is under investigation.
On the same date, Deputy Soto was dispatched to Starleaf in the Holly Lake area with regard to a vehicle theft. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen her 1995 gray Dodge van. The vehicle did not run. This case is under investigation.
July 8th: Deputy Arthur Judge was summoned to the courtroom at the Wood County Courthouse on a report of an intoxicated subject. On investigation, Robyn Elaine Adams was placed under arrest for public intoxication.
On the same date, Deputy Guy Powell met with a subject with regard to an assault that took place in the 400 block of CR 2840 in the Mineola area. The victim advised that she and her husband were arguing over a pending divorce when her husband grabbed her neck and threw her to the wall. The suspect had left the scene and a warrant was issued. Edward Jay Morrow was arrested on July 9th on a warrant for assault causing bodily injury/family violence.
Also on this date, Sgt. Farmer was dispatched to the 300 block of CR 4490 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had cut the lock to the gate to gain entry to the building. The case is under investigation.
July 7th: At approximately 8 a.m., Deputy Threadgill was dispatched to the 1500 block of CR 2425 in the Mineola area with regard to a report of a suspicious person. On arrival, the property owner advised that there was an unknown white male asleep against a tree on his property. The owner also advised that the man was found asleep in his friend's truck earlier. The deputy was advised that the man had driven up in a blue Chevy pickup. The man appeared to be impaired. On investigation and inventory of the pickup, 3.18 grams of methamphetamine was located. Thomas Allan Capps of Lindale was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance. Capps was released on a $15,000 bond.
