Crime Victims Advocate
is a Christ-centered, faith-based initiative founded by
a victim of crime at Holly Lake Ranch who is working for
improvements in the Wood County Sheriff's Office, Wood
County District Attorney's Office, and the Holly Lake
Ranch Security and Administration offices in response to
crime in our community. Since founding Crime Victims
Advocate in 2005, many improvements have been made in
the way these agencies respond to crime victims' appeals
for help. There is more work to be done, and I continue
to make efforts on behalf of crime victims in Wood
County. Please note the new telephone number for Crime
Victims Advocate: 903-705-3703.
The Hawkins Holly Lake Rotary Club proudly provides its

Organizing
a Home Care Service
For patients recovering
from surgery or those who are sick and home from the
hospital. Last year I had four major surgeries and had
it not been for the untiring help from my husband I
would never have been able to help myself. Not all of us
are fortunate enough to have a caring family member who
is willing to go that extra mile. But, I do believe that
out here at Holly Lake Ranch there are many who would be
willing to join an organization of service to those who
need it. When a person is sick or has been in the
hospital for surgery, etc., they need time to recover
and the everyday things continue on such as: laundry,
cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, visits to the
doctor, prescriptions that need to be picked up and
delivered, pet care, etc.
And, just a visit from a
friendly someone is always welcomed. If you are
interested in helping me organize this service, please
give me a call. Perhaps you have a special gift in the
are of service listed above and would appreciate the
opportunity to help others. This is strictly a voluntary
service without charge to the patient. In other words,
it is a grace ministry. Thank You!
