Two men were arrested on the afternoon of May 15th after Wood County officers executed a search warrant at a Hawkins residence. Jamie Rashad Evans, 24, and Michael Brando Crittenden, 21, were at the house located at Wells Street and 3rd Street. They had apparently been selling narcotics in large quantities from the residence for approximately a year. Deputies found approximately six ounces of marijuana and almost 30 grams of crack cocaine. The narcotics were packaged and ready to be sold. Assorted prescription pills were also being sold.

Sheriff Dwaine Daugherty stated that a vehicle, weapons and approximately $1,300 in cash were seized from the residence. The value of the narcotics was estimated at $5,000.

The sheriff stated that the following officers assisted in the execution of the warrant: Lt. Miles Tucker, Sergeants Terry Bevill, William Burge, Reggie Frost and Mark Miller; Corporals Randal Lain Sr. and Randal Lain, Jr.; Deputies Molly Shelton and Randy Selman along with Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Warden Kurt Kelley.
